What is BookedOut?

BookedOut is an expense tracking and document organization tool built for 1099 contractors and freelancers. You capture receipts and invoices, AI categorizes them automatically, and at tax time you export one clean organized report instead of digging through a shoebox.
How does the AI categorization work?

You create your own expense categories and add keywords to each one — like vendor names, product types, or anything that appears on your receipts. When you scan a document, AI reads the details and matches them against your keywords to suggest the right category. You confirm or change it before it saves.
Does BookedOut give tax advice?

No — BookedOut is an organization tool, not a tax advisor. We help you capture, sort, and export your expenses so your accountant has everything they need in one place. What you deduct and how you file is between you and your tax professional.
What file types can I upload?

You can upload JPG, PNG, and PDF files. On mobile you can also take a photo directly from your camera. There's also a manual entry option if you don't have a document.
Is my data secure?

Yes. Your data is stored in a secure database with row-level security — meaning only you can access your own expenses, documents, and categories. Files are stored in private cloud storage and are never publicly accessible.
How much will it cost?
